Hearing aids are meant to be used daily, and many satisfied customers do exactly that. As with any regularly-used electronic device, general wear and tear from friction and time can take their toll on hearing aids.

However, that doesn’t mean your hearing aids are done for! Bring your hearing aids to us, and we will do our best to identify and fix the issue, so that your devices can return to being an essential part of part of your day-to-day life.

Hearing aid repairs vary in cost from the severity of the problem, how much replacement parts for your hearing aid repair will set you back, and whether your device is under warranty. We aim to get your hearing aid working in no time.

Hearing Tests

Hearing tests are an essential part of figuring out your hearing needs, so that we may prescribe the most effective treatment.

We first examine the structures inside of your ear, your ears' capacity to conduct sound, the pressure inside your ear canal, and other things which help give us a 360-degree view of your hearing loss.

We conduct a thorough pure-tone assessment to test your ability to hear a series of sounds though headphones. We’ll ask you respond to these sounds by raising a hand, pressing a button, or responding to a question.

A word recognition test is usually conducted to measure your speech reception threshold (SRT), or in other words, the slightest line speech you can understand. This is compared with your pure-tone test results to determine your personal diagnosis.

The results of your pure tone and word recognition tests are displayed on an audiogram, a graph that shows the type, degree and frequency makeup of your hearing loss. This will help us determine your hearing threshold.

Custom Hearing Protection

Whether you work in a noisy environment, are an avid musician, or simply love live music, it is vitally important to protect your ears when engaged in loud activities. We offer custom-made ear plugs that are based upon the unique impression of your ear canals. They are designed to fit no one in the world better than you. Our plugs dampen sound evenly across the frequency range, so you can still enjoy your favorite music as it was intended. Contact us today if you are looking to upgrade your hearing protection.

Assistive Listening Devices

Although hearing aids are the primary treatment for those with hearing loss, certain technologies can work to make day-to-day life even easier. They are called Assistive Listening Devices (ALDs). There are many different ALDs on the market, and we are happy to offer a range of devices that can give you that extra help you need in your life. Here are some examples of what we offer.

Alarm Clocks

Our alarm clocks can produce up to 110 decibels of sound, and many even come with physical vibration to more effectively alert you into consciousness.

Amplified Telephones

These help you if you often miss your phone calls because of the low volume of the ringer. They also have amplified sound in the receiver, which makes it easier for those with hearing loss to continue the conversation. The volume can be increased up to 35 decibels.

Fire Alarms

These are a hugely important safety device in any household, especially for those who are hard of hearing. Specially produced fire alarms can flash, and emit sounds up to 90 decibels when activated. As an additional safety measure some alarms also offer physical notifications that shake or vibrate the bed.
